The department of Pharmacology provides maximum exposure to the students regarding general and dental aspects of drugs, drug therapy of various dental conditions and treatment of emergency conditions in dentistry. It offers broad knowledge about drug formulations, dose strengths, drug interactions and rational uses of drugs for variety of dental and medical conditions for undergraduate dental students.
The practical sessions allows students to learn about the prescription writing for common dental and medical ailments, appreciate adverse drug reactions and drug interactions of commonly used drugs, critically evaluation of drug formulations and to interpret the clinical pharmacology of marketed preparations commonly used in dentistry.
