Greetings and welcome to the Preventive and Paediatric Dentistry Department. Paediatric dentistry comprises an extensive array of specialties, methodologies, procedures, and competencies that, while sharing a foundation with other fields, are tailored to accommodate the distinct needs of infants, children, adolescents, and individuals with exceptional healthcare requirements. Our objectives are to advance dental science, provide comprehensive dental care for children, and offer rigorous undergraduate and graduate education. Our amiable and highly skilled personnel prioritise instruction in accordance with the most recent curriculum standards. The department places emphasis on equipping dental students with the necessary skills to effectively manage children. Additionally, it emphasises behaviour management in order to ensure that the dental services provided to the growing population of children are both efficient and of superior quality. Children who are physically, mentally, or medically compromised are also instructed in the efficient and systematic management of such individuals. Preventive measures are increasingly prioritised in dentistry as progress continues to strive for optimal oral health. Participation in the camps organised by the department is highly advocated for students. Our scholars actively engage in research endeavours and have contributed papers to numerous regional and national conferences. Whether pursuing advanced education, the dental profession, or academics, they have been excelling. We guarantee an educational programme that is fruitful.
