Introduction
Department of Oral Pathology deals with diagnosis of various diseases like tumors, cysts, infections, metabolic, hormonal and hematological disorders pertaining to oral cavity. The combination of precision in laboratory skill and microscopic eye facilitate to rule out the disease and implement the suitable treatment plan. The various laboratory procedures like hematological, microbiological, cytological and mainly histopathologic are the mainstay of this branch.
The Department is fully equipped with all the laboratory equipments, reagents and diagnostic instruments with ample of infrastructure to perform all the diagnostic procedures. Department also have academic involvement by teaching 1st B.D.S. students with the subject Dental Anatomy and Dental Histology and 3rd B.D.S. students with the subject Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Forensic Odontology. The Department is also actively engaged in various research activities and also provide platform for students to create research friendly ambiance.
